The “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan 2023,” commemorating India’s 76th Independence Day, has been inaugurated by the Indian Government. This initiative, also known as the “Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign,” aims to inspire people to proudly fly the national flag at their residences. The campaign, beginning today, is a significant part of the ongoing Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged all citizens to actively participate in the much-anticipated “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative, spanning from August 13th to August 15th, in honor of Independence Day. On platform X, PM Modi encourages individuals to replace their social media display photos with the national flag, symbolizing unity and bolstering the spirit of patriotism.

He emphasized that this gesture will further deepen the connection between our nation and its people. PM Modi had previously encouraged Indians to share their favorite photographs featuring the national flag on the dedicated “Har Ghar Tiranga” website. In his statement, he expressed, “The tricolor encapsulates the very spirit of liberty and unity within our nation.” Every Indian shares a profound emotional bond with the tricolor, which serves as an inspiration for our endeavors towards national progress. I appeal to all of you to actively engage in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative from August 13th to 15th. Share your tricolor-adorned photos here.”

The “Har Ghar Tiranga” website also advocates for the hoisting and public display of the national flag during the Independence Day festivities. It provides an option for users to upload a selfie featuring the flag, contributing to the digital tricolor artwork.

Meanwhile, a senior official from the Ministry of Culture revealed to PTI that around 2.5 crore (25 million) national flags have been dispatched to post offices for distribution, promoting the Indian government’s “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. Concurrently, “Har Ghar Tiranga Rallies” have been launched in various regions across the nation.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar flagged off a motorcycle rally of Members of Parliament (MPs) in Delhi on August 11th. The rally set off from Pragati Maidan and concluded its journey at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, traversing through the India Gate circle along the way. Similarly, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will lead the “Tiranga Yatra” in Gujarat, commencing from the Sabarmati Riverfront on August 14th. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, a prominent Congress leader, is also anticipated to partake in the “Har Ghar Tiranga Rally.”
